How to Prepare for Your First House Cleaning with Tidy TinkerBell
By Carrie Martin · Tidy TinkerBell Cleaning Services

A Little Prep Goes a Long Way
Your first cleaning with Tidy TinkerBell is about getting your home to a fresh, healthy baseline. A few minutes of preparation lets our team spend every minute of the visit actually cleaning — not working around clutter.
Your Pre-Cleaning Checklist
- Pick up clothes, toys, papers, and personal items from floors, counters, and furniture.
- Load the dishwasher or clear the sink — washing dishes is not part of our service, but we will clean and sanitize the sink once it’s clear.
- Put away laundry. We do not provide laundry service.
- If you want us to clean behind the stove, refrigerator, or a large piece of furniture, pull it out ahead of time. For safety, we do not move heavy furniture or appliances.
- Secure valuables, cash, medications, and anything fragile or sentimental.
- Let us know about pets and how you would like them handled during the visit.
- Tell us about any surfaces that need special care, like natural stone or specialty floors.
Standard Clean or Deep Clean First?
If your home has not been professionally cleaned in a while, a Deep Cleaning is usually the best first visit. It covers baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, vents, and the inside of the oven, refrigerator, and cabinets. After that, recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits keep everything at that level.
